Meet Jodie Cranham
Jodie Cranham is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Cranham & Co, helping Boards, organisations, business owners and leaders create clear direction, build leadership capability and navigate transition.
She brings experience as a Chief Executive, senior health executive, Board director and business owner. Her career includes two appointments as Interim Chief Executive Officer of Rural Northwest Health Service and senior executive roles with Ballarat Health Services, subsequently Grampians Health, and Barwon Health.
Having worked across governance, executive leadership and business ownership, Jodie understands both the decisions made around the Board table and the practical realities of putting them into action. She also understands how closely business direction and personal aspirations can be connected.
Known for combining strategic discipline with warmth, curiosity and practical insight, Jodie creates space for honest conversations and thoughtful choices. Her approach brings together evidence, stakeholder perspectives and leadership judgement to develop strategies and capability that clients own and can act on.
Why this work matters to me
For much of my career, my identity was closely connected to my work. I held senior executive and Chief Executive roles, leading people and organisations through complexity, change and competing priorities. I was often the person others turned to for direction, clarity and solutions.
Over time, I began to reflect more deeply on what leadership, purpose and contribution meant for the next chapter of my life. That period of curiosity and rediscovery led me to study coaching, explore Ikigai and ultimately create a different way of working, one that brings together my experience in strategy, leadership, governance and business with my commitment to helping people make thoughtful and meaningful change.
Today, I work with Boards, leaders and business owners at pivotal moments: establishing a new strategic direction, building leadership capability, preparing a business for transition or deciding what comes next personally and professionally.
I understand these moments not only as an adviser, but as someone who has navigated significant transitions herself. That experience shapes the way I work, with curiosity, warmth, honesty and a firm focus on turning reflection into practical action.
How I Work
Every engagement is different, but the way I work is grounded in six consistent principles.
Lived experience
My advice is grounded in experience as a Chief Executive, senior executive, Board director, coach and business owner. I understand both the strategic decisions made around the table and the practical realities of delivering them.
Clarity and purpose
I help clients step back from competing priorities, identify what matters most and make thoughtful choices about where to focus their energy and resources.
Partnership and co-design
I work alongside clients, drawing on their knowledge, experience and perspectives. The strongest solutions are shaped together—not imposed through a generic model.
Structured but adaptable
Every engagement has a clear and disciplined process, adapted to the organisation, business, people and circumstances involved.
People and performance
Strategy succeeds through people. I consider the leadership, relationships, capability and behaviours needed to turn direction into meaningful and sustainable results.
Practical action
Insight must lead somewhere. I help translate conversations and aspirations into clear priorities, decisions, responsibilities and achievable next steps.
Working Together
Looking for a thoughtful and practical partner? Let’s start a conversation.
Based in Geelong, I work with leaders and organisations across the Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, Colac Otway Shire, Golden Plains, Grampian, Loddon Mallee and greater Victoria, as well as online.
The Cranham & Co Approach
