Why I Decided to Add Ikigai Coaching to My Suite of Services
Over the years of working with clients in leadership and executive coaching, I noticed a recurring question: “Why am I doing what I’m doing?”
For some, it came from a desire for something more meaningful in their professional lives. Others approached me feeling burnt out or struggling to maintain balance while constantly pushing their leadership boundaries. And many were simply seeking clarity, purpose, and alignment between their work and personal values.
It struck a chord with me personally. There was a time in my own career when I felt lost, unsure of what gave me joy, optimism, drive, and enthusiasm. If I had known about Ikigai coaching back then, I believe it would have helped me rediscover my independence and sense of purpose, guiding me toward a path that was both fulfilling and energising.
When I first came across Ikigai as a concept and as a tool for coaching, it immediately sparked my curiosity. I delved deep into the resources, research, and methodologies, exploring how this Japanese philosophy could help professionals clarify purpose, ignite passion, and enhance leadership performance. I soon realised that Ikigai wasn’t just about career satisfaction—it was a framework for personal growth, wellbeing, and sustainable professional development.
Since then, I’ve integrated Ikigai coaching into my suite of leadership and executive coaching services. Each client journey is unique, and I approach the process with cultural sensitivity, respect, and adaptability. I continue to learn and evolve my practice, ensuring that the way I introduce Ikigai is authentic, insightful, and supportive, helping clients uncover what truly motivates them.
Whether a client is exploring a career transition, seeking professional growth, or navigating leadership challenges, Ikigai provides a lens through which they can find alignment, meaning, and renewed energy in both work and life.
Adding Ikigai to my coaching toolkit has not only enriched my practice but has also offered my clients a transformational approach to discovering their purpose, joy, and drive—something I wish I had access to earlier in my own professional journey.
If you’re curious about Ikigai coaching for professionals or want to explore how it could support your career, leadership, or personal growth journey, I’d love to guide you through the process.
